Project overview

Memmo aims to enhance robot motion capabilities using TALOS, a biped humanoid robot from PAL Robotics and LAAS-CNRS. It tests tasks like drilling and stair climbing in Airbus's experimental line to enable real-time reactions to environmental changes. Memmo utilizes offline caching of optimal motions and adapts them using real-time model predictive control, leveraging sensor feedback for robust behaviors.

Our Role

PAL Robotics contributed to the Memmo project by providing the TALOS biped humanoid robot and expertise in motion generation for complex robots with arms and legs.

Key responsibilities

  • Using TALOS to validate motion generation for tasks like drilling and stair climbing in Airbus’s experimental line.
  • Developing a unified approach for complex robot motion.
  • Creating algorithms for adapting motions using model predictive control.
  • Integrating sensors to enhance feedback control for robust behaviors.
  • Rigorously testing motion generation in real-world scenarios.
