HumaNova

Project overview

HumaNova (Excellence in Education in the Humanoid Supernova Era) is a European project focused on preparing vocational education and training (VET) systems for the growing integration of humanoid robots across industry and society. The project aims to establish a pan-European network of six Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) together with a European Humanoid Skills Alliance to support future human–humanoid collaboration in key economic sectors. Through the co-creation of EQF-aligned curricula, modular learning pathways, mobility programmes, and humanoid-supported training pilots, HumaNova seeks to equip learners, educators, and professionals with the technical and interdisciplinary skills required in the emerging humanoid era. The project also focuses on digitalisation, work-based learning, STEM talent development, and the creation of scalable educational models that can be adopted across European VET ecosystems. The project brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of educational institutions, research centres, industry stakeholders, and robotics experts working to shape the future of humanoid-enabled vocational training in Europe.

Our Role

PAL Robotics contributes to HumaNova as a technology and robotics partner, supporting the development and validation of humanoid-based vocational training activities using TIAGo.

Our role includes providing technical expertise for the design of realistic human–robot collaboration scenarios, validating training and laboratory environments, and supporting the reliable integration of humanoid robotics into pilot educational programmes. Additionally, PAL Robotics will support the integration of training modules, APIs, simulators, and hands-on exercises, helping bridge vocational education with real industrial robotics applications. The company will also host internships and job-shadowing activities during the project to strengthen practical workforce preparation for the humanoid robotics sector.
