Factory in a Day

Our Role

PAL Robotics provides specialized expertise in robotics technology for the Factory in a Day project. Our contributions focus on enabling the rapid deployment and seamless configuration of robotic systems. By designing adaptable solutions and supporting integration processes, PAL Robotics helps ensure the project achieves its goal of fast, flexible automation for SMEs.

Key responsibilities

  • Technology Simplification: Contributing to the simplification of robotics technology to make it suitable for rapid deployment and adjustment in temporary product lines.
  • Hardware Design: Collaborating on the design and development of specific components, including highly adaptive gripper modules, to facilitate rapid integration into the production line.
  • Rapid Deployment: Providing robots that can be quickly shipped to the factory and deployed within two hours, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows.
  • Software Compatibility: Ensuring that robotics software is compatible with any platform and easy to self-calibrate, allowing for rapid configuration and learning of new tasks.
  • Configuration and Training: Assisting in the configuration and training of robots to perform specific actions with minimal information, aiming to complete this process within a single day.
  • Workflow Analysis: Participating in workflow analysis to identify tasks suitable for automation and optimize the allocation of human and robot resources.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with other project partners to align efforts, share knowledge, and contribute to the overall success of the Factory in a Day initiative in streamlining automation for SMEs.
