TIAGo Pro Arm heads to Pittsburgh as a standalone platform for advanced manipulation, robot learning and AI-driven robotics research.
PAL Robotics, the Barcelona-based company behind the TIAGo Pro and KANGAROO robots, will join the global robotics research community at IROS 2026, taking place from 27 September to 1 October at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
At Booth 1005, advanced manipulation will take centre stage with TIAGo Pro Arm, PAL Robotics’ newest robotic platform, designed for researchers and developers working across manipulation, robot learning, perception and Physical AI.
Alongside the new arm, the PAL Robotics team will share the latest developments across the TIAGo family and its work in humanoid robotics, while members of the team will also contribute to IROS workshops and research activities throughout the conference
TIAGo Pro Arm: advanced manipulation in a standalone platform
TIAGo Pro Arm is a standalone robotic arm created for research teams, engineers and developers, supporting their work from early experimentation through to deployment.
Its open and flexible design supports research in advanced manipulation, robot learning and AI-driven applications, while seamless sensor integration allows teams to adapt the platform to their own projects and experimental setups. It can be used as a standalone system with different mounting configurations or integrated with mobile platforms such as the TIAGo Pro OMNI Base, extending research from fixed to mobile manipulation.
Built on ROS 2 and ros_control, TIAGo Pro Arm combines seven degrees of freedom with PAL Robotics’ Series Elastic Actuators, providing the dexterity and flexibility required for advanced manipulation research.
