CENTAURO is a project with the goal of addressing Spain’s structural challenge of low productivity compared to other Eurozone countries. The project focuses on developing autonomous mobile manipulators, leveraging intelligent robotics to enhance productivity in various sectors, including industry, agriculture, healthcare, and construction. CENTAURO’s mission is to reduce Spain’s dependency on foreign technology and address the shortage of skilled labour by fostering a robust ecosystem of autonomous robotic solutions.
PAL Robotics plays a key role in the CENTAURO project, focusing on evolving our TIAGo robot for the project. Our objectives encompass:
- Researching technologies necessary to enhance TIAGo’s capabilities as a versatile mobile manipulator.
- Developing expertise in 3D vision, generation of safe trajectories, and indoor autonomous navigation.
- Enhancing intuitive programming for autonomous manipulation applications, particularly in industrial tasks like polishing, painting, and plant logistics.
Through CENTAURO, PAL Robotics is committed to contributing to Spain’s technological independence and enhancing productivity. By developing advanced robotic solutions, we aim to support various sectors in Spain, creating high-qualification jobs and reducing the productivity gap with other Eurozone countries.
