Project overview

RobMoSys aims to create a common, open-source methodology for robotics software development, emphasizing interoperability, composability, and configurability. It seeks to build a sustainable, agile, multi-domain European robotics software ecosystem through an integrated model-driven approach. The project enhances scalability, quality, and system integration, and commoditizes base functionality. RobMoSys includes the autonomous manipulation robot TIAGo for pilots in manufacturing and domestic environments.

Our Role

PAL Robotics contributes to RobMoSys by integrating the autonomous manipulation robot TIAGo for pilots in manufacturing and domestic environments, and by providing expertise in robotics software development.

Key responsibilities

  • Robot Integration: Integrating the TIAGo robot into RobMoSys for pilots in manufacturing and domestic environments, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • Model-Driven Development: Contributing to the development and implementation of model-driven methods and tools for robotics software development within the project framework.
  • Interface Management: Collaborating on the management of interfaces between different robotics-related domains to ensure efficient and systematic integration of robotic systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Participating in the establishment of quality-of-service properties to ensure the reliability, performance, and usability of robotic systems developed within RobMoSys.
  • Community Engagement: Engaging with the robotics community to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation in robotics software development through participation in Open Calls and community events.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Documenting the integration process and reporting outcomes and findings to project stakeholders and the broader robotics community, contributing to knowledge dissemination and continuous improvement efforts.
