Project overview

The COVR project aims to improve safety for collaborative robots (cobots) to increase adoption and expand applications. By simplifying safety certification and implementing skill-based testing, COVR enhances safety standards for robots working alongside humans. This work advances the integration of robots in human-centric environments, promoting safer collaborations.

Our Role

PAL Robotics contributed to the COVR project over a nine-month period by testing and monitoring use cases across various robot domains. Through these efforts, PAL Robotics achieved two key milestones, providing valuable insights into safety integration for collaborative robots. Our contributions support the development of safer, more efficient human-robot interactions.

Key responsibilities

  • Use StockBot as a case study to refine safety protocols in inventory automation.
  • Conduct extensive testing at our facilities to ensure accurate data and results.
