The beginning

Our challenging yet rewarding journey began in 2004 when a group of passionate engineers came together with a bold vision: to create the first humanoid robot in Europe and enhance people’s lives through service robotics.

REEM-A

Our first robot

We introduced our very first robot, REEM-A, in 2005. This was our big debut, showcasing the incredible potential of humanoid robotics in various fields.

By 2006, REEM-A could walk, play chess, and recognize faces, objects, and voice commands. Watching our robot make such remarkable progress was like seeing our dreams walk, talk, and think!

REEM-B

Our second robot enters the world

In 2008, REEM-B joined the family with enhanced features and improved performance. This sturdy and capable robot helped us solidify our place as leaders in the humanoid robotics industry.

2009

ROS Integration

For smoother development

Big news in 2009: we integrated the Robot Operating System (ROS) into our robots. This made our software development smoother and opened doors for better collaboration within the robotics community.

2010 saw the development of REEM-H1, our first robot created to be a service platform. It was a significant step in our evolution, setting the stage for even more versatile robots.

REEM

The year that changes it all in service robotics

REEM made its debut in 2012, embodying our commitment to continuous improvement. Designed for both entertainment and service, REEM was a versatile solution for various tasks.

REEM-C

New and improved

REEM-C arrived in 2013 with improved mobility, interaction capabilities, and enhanced AI functionalities. This robot was perfect for research and development in human-robot interaction.

REEM-C was designed in 2013 to be the perfect solution for research and human-robot interaction (HRI) development thanks to the better mobility, interaction capabilities and AI features.

2014

EU Project

Our first collaborative project

We jumped into our first EU project, “Factory in a Day,” in 2014. This was a huge deal for us, showing our expertise in creating robots that could quickly adapt to new industrial tasks. Since then, we’ve been part of over 60 projects.

TIAGo Base

Redefining indoor logistics

In early 2015, TIAGo Base debuts as a robust platform empowering advanced robotics solutions for research and industry.

TIAGo Base is the first mobile base designed and produced by PAL Robotics. TIAGo Base is an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) that automates and optimises indoor logistics and help research in navigational robotics.

2015

StockBot

RFID technology rolls in

The same year 2015, we launched StockBot for inventory management. This robot took us into new territories, including logistics and inventory control using RFID technology.

StockBot is an autonomous RFID solution designed for retail businesses and warehouse to optimise inventory and stock-taking as well as for stock control and data collection in order to help in the decision-making process

TIAGo

Your favorite robot is born

Later in 2015, we introduced TIAGo, offering a versatile platform for personal assistance and research. TIAGo brought new capabilities in mobile manipulation and service applications.

TIAGo is PAL Robotics' mobile manipulator. Designed with customisability and versatility in mind, TIAGo was conceived to operate as a research platform as well as in the industry and healthcare sector.

TIAGO++

Your manipulation capabilities just improved

In early 2019, we launched TIAGO++, bringing enhanced capabilities for research and industrial use with improved manipulation capabilities, featuring two arms for more complex tasks.

TIAGo++ provides enhanced manipulation and navigation capabilities as well as new integrated functionalities and it can collaborate with other robots like TIAGo Base Stackable for industrial settings

ARI

The perfect social platform

Later in 2019, ARI joined our lineup, focusing on interactive services and customer engagement. ARI came equipped with an interactive screen, face tracking, and conversational capabilities.

2020

COVID-19

Helping fight the pandemic

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, we quickly adapted TIAGo Base robots to assist in healthcare settings. They delivered medical goods, food, and disinfected high-traffic areas with UV lights.

TIAGo Base Delivery is an adapted version of the AMR TIAGo Base to help fight the pandemic by transporting supplies and supporting healthcare personnel
