Resumen del proyecto

SIMBIOTS, led by the Generalitat de Catalunya's Acció department and co-financed by the EU's European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), integrates robotics into new industrial processes. By employing collaborative robots, SIMBIOTS creates safe, ergonomic workspaces where humans and robots interact seamlessly, enhancing productivity and aligning with Industry 4.0 objectives.

Our Role

PAL Robotics actively participated in the SIMBIOTS project, focusing on developing a robotic platform tailored to Industry 4.0 needs. This platform aimed to become a commercially viable product with the necessary industrial certification for integration into industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing an adaptable, flexible, and safe robotic platform for Industry 4.0.
  • Ensuring the platform meets industrial certification standards for integration.
  • Implementing collaborative robotics for safe human-robot interaction.
  • Enhancing ergonomics to reduce repetitive task injuries.
