May 29 – June 2
The International Conference on Robotics and Automation 2023 (ICRA) is the premier international forum for robotics researchers to present and discuss their work. As the flagship conference of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, ICRA attracts the most innovative and cutting-edge research from around the world.
We are excited to announce that our team from PAL Robotics will be attending ICRA 2023 in person in London, United Kingdom, from 29 May to 2 June.
This year, we will be showcasing some of our latest products, first of all our newest generation of mobile manipulators:
TIAGo is the most popular mobile manipulator in Europe, designed to work in a way that benefits both humans and machines. The robot has been upgraded to meet the latest research trends and needs in mobile manipulation. Our latest generation of mobile manipulators has cutting edge hardware, including fully torque-controllable arms, improved communication technology, and a brand new electronics architecture with increased computational power. It also has an improved bi-manipulation workspace and enhanced capabilities to interact with humans through a user-friendly interface. The robot is compatible with ROS2.
Secondly, meet ARan:
with advanced 3D perception and data collection capabilities through its two RGB-D integrated cameras and LiDAR technology, our AMR ARan is powered by the latest ROS software ideal for any high-performance AI research thank to the NVIDIA GPU Jetson add-on.
Discover our Web User Interface for TIAGo: the newly released premium software for our mobile manipulator is user-friendly and easy to use with all the necessary control and management options. A versatile tool, the Web User Interface is multiplatform, accessing all device with Chrome, responsive, being usable from any device, and modular, being composed of different packages to adjust to your necessities. Check out how to create custom motions with the motion builder, how to programme without coding with the visual programmer and how to build maps and paths with the advanced navigation.
Be ready to see our biped platform Kangaroo and to boost your research in robotic legged locomotion with the advanced motor control technology and the custom linear actuators with integrated force sensors to provide a wide range motion and speed at the joints.
Additionally, you’ll have the chance to meet our social humanoid ARI, the social and research robots TIAGo and TIAGo ++, as well as our biped humanoids Kangaroo and TALOS. Our team is eager to meet you to share our research and discuss potential collaboration opportunities. Our team will also take part in the following workshop to illustrate our work and discuss the most relevant trends and developments in robotics:
SOLAR – Socially-acceptable robots: concepts, techniques, and applications SOLAR – 29 May
In this workshop, our Senior Scientist Raquel Ros will give her insight on how to develop a deeper understanding of what the robotics community can actually do with operational data and how data might inform not only the tuning but also the design of complex, interactive systems.
Robot Teammates in Dynamic Unstructured Environments (RT-DUNE) – 2 June
Our CEO, Francesco Ferro will be giving a talk in this workshop, which focuses on exploring how our operational data can support the creation of complex, reactive, and dynamic interactions with human-robot teams.
Emerging paradigms for assistive robotic manipulation: from research labs to the real world – 2 June
Our Senior Scientist, Narcis Miguel Baños, is participating in this workshop, which aims to discuss how new and advanced grasp planning and control algorithms, as well as new design paradigms for robotic hands have already been, or have the potential to be, adopted in assistive applications.
Don’t hesitate to book a demo with us to see our products in action. We look forward to seeing you at ICRA 2023 in London!
