PAL Robotics Agenda at the ICRA 2021

The International Conference on Robotics and Automation 2021 (ICRA) is the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society’s flagship conference and the premier international forum for robotics researchers to present and discuss their work. ICRA 2021 will be held from May 30 to June 5, 2021 at the brand new magnificent Xi’an International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xi’an China and will take place virtually too.

31st of May:

Task-Informed Grasping: Agri-Food manipulation (TIG-III)” – Alessando Di Fava, Technical Coordinator of EU projects & Robotics Engineer. Register here Bridging the Gap between Data-driven and Analytical Physics-based Grasping and Manipulation II” – Luca Lach, PhD Student. Register here Emerging paradigms for robotic manipulation: from the lab to the productive world” – Francesco Ferro, CEO PAL Robotics

4th of June:

“Dinosaurs vs. Unicorns at the time of Covid-19 pandemic. How Robots may save business dinosaurs from extinction by turning them start-ups again.” – Francesco Ferro, PAL Robotics CEO. Register here Our CTO, Luca Marchionni, will be presenting at the workshop “Towards Real-World Deployment of Legged Robot” at this year’s virtual ICRA 2021 event. In this workshop it will be discussed how more real-world applications of legged robots are being considered due to recent advances in research. This workshop is escpially important to PAL Robotics, as during it, we will introduce you to something new we have been working on and you will be the fist one to learn about it!

Our performance at ICRA 2020

At last year’s ICRA event we held a live demo of our TIAGo Robot in collaboration with EU project RobMoSys. Project RobMoSys, which finished in December 2020, focused on developing an integrated approach built on top of the current code-centric robotic platforms, by applying model-driven methods and tools.   We also had the chance to have a live demonstration of our TALOS robot in collaboration with project Memmo, which focuses on developing a unified yet tractable approach to motion generation for complex robots with arms and legs. In this case, the latest advancements in the project were showcased. Make sure to register and e-see you at ICRA 2021!
